Velo Zero Pouches: Nicotine-Free Velo and US Availability
Velo Zero is British American Tobacco's nicotine-free and tobacco-free pouch, sold through European retailers in slim format and a handful of flavors. It is not sold in the US. BAT's US Velo site (velo.com/us) lists only VELO, VELO PLUS, and VELO MAX, all nicotine products, and the US online pouch retailers checked in October 2026 do not carry a Zero SKU.
What Is Velo Zero?
Velo Zero is a BAT pouch with no nicotine. The retailer Snusdirect says BAT released it in autumn 2023 as the company's first nicotine-free product; we found no BAT press release confirming that. It uses the same slim format as nicotine Velo but contains zero nicotine and zero tobacco.
Snusdirect lists Bright Peppermint, Purple Grape, Tropical Mango and Wintery Watermelon, and other European shops carry slightly different ranges. At Snusdirect, a single can is $5.49 and the bulk price is as low as $4.69 per can; other European retailers price it differently.

How This Was Checked
Sources: BAT's US Velo FAQ, the FDA's authorized nicotine-pouch list, Velo listings at Northerner and gotpouches.com, and European retailer pages for Zero. We did not lab-test or use-test any product. BAT's own ingredient panel for Velo Zero was not found. Disclosure: this site sells a competing nicotine-free caffeine pouch and links to it. Every number comes from brand labels and product pages.

What Is in Velo Zero?
European retailers describe Velo Zero as a tobacco-free, nicotine-free slim pouch. One German retailer describes the material as plant-fiber based. No caffeine or other actives are listed.

Nectr Zero, SMKY MTN ZERO and Black Buffalo ZERO are closest to Velo Zero's flavor-only concept. NZE Focus adds nootropics without caffeine. Grinds Energy and Roon both deliver 80 mg caffeine per pouch; the difference is duration, since Roon adds 25 mg methylliberine (Dynamine) to slow caffeine clearance for a brand-stated 6 to 8 hour felt window.
Does Velo Zero Help with Quitting Nicotine?
Velo Zero contains no nicotine, so it does not deliver nicotine or replace it pharmacologically. No product on this page is a nicotine-replacement therapy or cessation aid.
For quitting support, contact 1-800-QUIT-NOW or visit smokefree.gov.
Safety note: VELO's US lines contain nicotine, which is addictive. The caffeine pouches above are for adults; skip them if you are pregnant or nursing, sensitive to caffeine or on stimulant medication, and ask a clinician if you are unsure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who makes Velo Zero?
British American Tobacco (BAT) manufactures Velo Zero, the same company behind the nicotine VELO, VELO PLUS, and VELO MAX lines sold in the US through R.J. Reynolds / Reynolds American. European retailers list it as a BAT product launched in autumn 2023.
Does Velo Zero have caffeine?
No. Retailer listings show no caffeine, no nootropics and no other actives. US options with caffeine include Grinds Energy (80 mg) and Roon (80 mg).
Can you order Velo Zero online to the US?
We found no retailer listing that ships Velo Zero to the US, and importing pouches is not something we can advise on. Check the retailer's shipping policy and local rules before ordering.
Is Velo Zero the same as Velo Plus 3 mg?
No. VELO PLUS 3 mg contains approximately 3 mg of synthetic nicotine per pouch. Velo Zero contains none. They share the Velo brand, but VELO PLUS 3 mg is the lowest-nicotine option in BAT's US lineup, while Zero has no nicotine at all.
If the Habit Stays and the Nicotine Goes
BAT built Velo Zero for people who want the pouch without the nicotine. That product is not sold in the US yet.
Roon fills a different slot. It is a nicotine-free oral pouch, but not flavor-only: each pouch delivers 80 mg caffeine, 60 mg L-theanine, 25 mg methylliberine (Dynamine), and 5 mg theacrine (TeaCrine) for sustained focus over 6 to 8 hours, with no crash and no jitters.
Methylliberine slows caffeine's clearance. A randomized, double-blind crossover study (n = 12) found co-dosing extended caffeine's half-life from 7.2 to 15 hours and cut oral clearance from 41.9 to 17.1 L/hr, with no higher peak (study). That trial dosed 100 mg methylliberine + 150 mg caffeine, about 4x the methylliberine and 1.9x the caffeine in a Roon pouch, so Roon's felt window reflects the same mechanism directionally, not the study's exact result. Because residual caffeine lingers, finish your last pouch at least 8 hours before bed. One pouch is 80 mg, about a small coffee. Want more punch? Many people double-pouch (160 mg) or add another later in the day; do what feels right for you. Keep it to 4 pouches a day and 400 mg of caffeine a day from all sources, the FDA's figure for healthy adults.
If you are ready to quit nicotine pouches without losing the habit that works for you, try Roon. Tins start from $9.16 on a subscription.
