How This List Was Put Together
Flavors, strengths, and descriptions: velo.com Max page and FAQ. Stock and pricing: Northerner. Nicotine per can: label mg × 20 (labels say "approximately"). No products were lab-tested or sampled. Roon, which publishes this page, sells a zero-nicotine caffeine pouch and links to it further down; every VELO figure here comes from velo.com or Northerner, so you can check it.
Cool Mint and Wintergreen: The Two 12 mg Flavors
Cool Mint and Wintergreen are the only VELO Max flavors sold at 12 mg. Both are mint-family flavors, and the brand draws a line between them: Cool Mint emphasizes "freshness," Wintergreen leans toward "sweetness."
Earlier in October, both 12 mg SKUs showed out of stock at Northerner (noted in our full VELO Max review). By Oct 31, both were back at $4.49 per can, the same price as the 8 mg versions.
Berry and Cinnamon: 8 mg Only
Berry pairs fruit flavor with "a hint of cooling mint," so even the non-mint option carries a chill. Cinnamon is the only warm-flavored Max pouch. Neither is offered at 12 mg; the velo.com Max page lists both under "Available in 8mg" only.
How Do VELO Max Flavors Compare With VELO Plus?
Three of the four Max flavors have a close VELO Plus counterpart. Cinnamon does not.
| VELO Max flavor | Nearest VELO Plus flavor | VELO Plus description (velo.com) |
|---|---|---|
| Cool Mint | Mint (6, 9 mg) | "A fresh, sweet, cooling mint flavor." |
| Wintergreen | Wintergreen (3, 6, 9 mg) | "A creamy, subtly sweet, full-bodied herbal flavor." |
| Berry | Wild Berry (3, 6, 9 mg) | "A bold blend of juicy berry flavor." |
| Cinnamon | Original VELO Cinnamon (no Plus version) | "A pleasantly warm and familiar spice flavor." |
Cinnamon's description is identical on the Max and original VELO pages. Wintergreen differs: Max says "minty-fresh sweetness," while VELO Plus, per the velo.com FAQ, says "creamy, subtly sweet, full-bodied herbal flavor." The original VELO line is listed on velo.com, but the two online retailers we checked do not carry it. See our VELO vs VELO Plus vs VELO Max comparison for a full breakdown.
Nicotine per Can and Price
| Strength | Nicotine per can (approx.) | 1 can | 5 cans | 10 cans | 25 cans | 50 cans |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8 mg | ~160 mg | $4.49 | $4.29 | $3.99 | $3.69 | $3.29 |
| 12 mg | ~240 mg | $4.49 | $4.29 | $3.99 | $3.69 | $3.29 |
Price per pouch: $0.22 (single can) to $0.16 (50 cans). Formula: can price ÷ 20. Same price for every Max flavor and strength at Northerner on Oct 31. VELO Plus matches at $4.49 per single can but runs higher in bulk ($3.79 at 25, $3.49 at 50 vs. Max's $3.69 and $3.29). See our VELO price breakdown for all lines.
Before Trying 12 mg
VELO Max 12 mg is the highest strength in VELO's US lineup. Nicotine is addictive. VELO products are for adult tobacco consumers (21+) and should be kept away from children and pets, per velo.com. VELO Max has no FDA marketing order and is not on the FDA's list of authorized nicotine pouches. The FDA did authorize 24 Velo Mini Pouch products (all 4 mg) on Oct 30, 2026; that is a separate line from VELO Max. This page gives no starting-dose advice. For context on where 12 mg sits across brands, see our strongest nicotine pouches guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many VELO Max flavors are there?
Four: Cool Mint, Wintergreen, Berry, and Cinnamon. Two of those (Cool Mint, Wintergreen) come in both 8 mg and 12 mg, giving six total SKUs, per velo.com.
Does VELO Max come in Berry 12 mg?
No. Berry is 8 mg only on velo.com's Max page. Cool Mint and Wintergreen are the only two 12 mg options.
Is there a VELO Max Black Cherry?
Not on velo.com. The brand lists four Max flavors (Cool Mint, Wintergreen, Berry and Cinnamon), and Black Cherry is not one of them. A resale listing in search results uses the name, but it matches no product on velo.com.
Can you buy VELO Max online?
Yes. Northerner carried all six SKUs on Oct 31, 2026, with age 21+ verification. GotPouches did not list any VELO Max products on the same date.
Keep the Ritual, Drop the 12 mg
If the pouch habit is what you want to keep but 12 mg of nicotine is what you want to leave behind, Roon is worth a look. It is a zero-nicotine oral pouch (Cool Mint, 15 per tin) built around 80 mg caffeine, 60 mg L-theanine, 25 mg methylliberine (Dynamine), and 5 mg theacrine (TeaCrine).
Methylliberine slows caffeine clearance. In a randomized crossover PK study (n=12), co-administration stretched caffeine's half-life from 7.2 to 15 hours and cut oral clearance from 41.9 to 17.1 L/hr, with no higher peak (study). That study dosed 100 mg methylliberine with 150 mg caffeine, about 4x and 1.9x what one Roon pouch contains, so the mechanism points the same direction but the magnitude is not directly transferable. Most people feel a Roon pouch for somewhere between 6 and 8 hours (a 15-hour half-life is not 15 hours of energy), and because the caffeine lingers, the last pouch belongs at least 8 hours before bed. Roon's cap is 4 pouches a day.
Roon is a caffeine pouch, not a nicotine-replacement therapy, and it will not treat withdrawal. What it offers is the same lip-and-tin ritual with a steady caffeine lift, no jitters, no crash. Tins start from $9.16, about $0.61 per pouch.
